Clean water left standing for a couple of days can shift to Category 2, which changes what gets removed. That shift is exactly why a fast start matters.
Class matters just as much for the schedule. A small Class 1 loss might be dry in two days, but Class 4 losses in dense hardwood, plaster or masonry need specialty drying and extra days. Your restorer should spell out both ratings plainly and record them in the project file.
Keeping Three Parties Aligned
A good project lead updates the adjuster, chases phase approvals and gives you a realistic move-back date. On day one, ask who your single contact is and how often they will check in. If the answer is vague, that is worth noting.
